There are many common symptoms that accompany a TMD. If you notice a few of these symptoms, it is important that you come in and get checked out.
Headaches are one of the first symptoms that often show up when you have a TMD. This could be a headache anywhere in your head, but you will often notice pain that radiates up the sides of the head, past the temples, and stops around the crown of your head.

Temple pain is also common when you have a TMD. This can be consistent pain, or it can be intermittent. Sometimes the pain is right in the middle of the temple, while other times it surrounds the temple.

Jaw pain is another common symptom that comes with a TMD. It can be right in your jaw, or radiate to the ear, neck, shoulder, and back. You may also have clicking in the jaw, or pain when you go to open your jaw fully.

These symptoms are telling you that there is a problem. Don’t hesitate to contact us to get them checked out. We will perform an exam and tell you what we have found, then discuss the best treatment options to help you overcome your TMD.
